Hi there, I’m Dan, and I’ve spent over 35 years enjoying the great outdoors through camping, campervanning, and caravanning. Growing up, I fell in love with hiking and camping, but back then, we didn’t have the luxury of small kitchen electricals to make outdoor cooking easy.
My outdoor journey begins.
My passion for camping and hiking began when I was just 13, thanks to a youth club that introduced me to these wonderful activities. I have many fond memories of hiking miles each day, taking in the stunning scenery along the way. One of my earliest adventures was a 7-day trek along the Pennine Way, from High Cup Nick to Middleton in Teesdale.
Camping challenges: Cooking without small kitchen electricals.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to camp and hike in many beautiful locations, especially in Middleton in Teesdale, where I’ve returned many times with my campervan and later, my caravan. However, cooking was often a challenge in my younger days, as we relied on primus stoves. I remember sometimes using 2 or 3 of these stoves at once just to prepare a meal.

It wasn’t until I had a caravan that I realized how much easier outdoor cooking could be with small kitchen electricals. These days, even if you’re still tent camping, all you need is an extension lead to power your small kitchen electricals and appliances.
