George Home (Asda) black compact 1.5 litre air fryer.

Introduction.

If you’re looking to cook crispy chips, hash browns, roast chicken portions, fish fingers, burgers, jacket potatoes or more small portions of food. This compact air fryer Model GAF201B-19 from Asda (George Home) can do it all. The 1.5L capacity means you can comfortably cook 1-2 portions. The 30 minute timer uses an auto shut off, meaning you can leave it to cook, while you get on with other tasks.

We bought this model and didn’t have any problems except sometimes we needed something bigger. After some thought we upgraded to the 6.5 litre digital model for larger batches of cooking. Only using the 1.5 litre model for quick small meals.

Healthier eating and cooking.

The most impressive feature of this compact air fryer is it’s ability to cook without using oil. Cleaning is made easy thanks to the dishwasher safe drip tray and basket. To separate the drip tray from the basket, a press of the thumb on the clear square button at the top of the handle grip is all that’s needed.

  4. This model has a 2 year warranty.
  5. For the cost of this model, and the warranty, it’s a winner.

Cons.

  1. This air fryer needs minimal counter space.
  2. The timer is limited and basic, but it does the job.
  3. Learning curve for cooking times and temperatures.

Conclusion.

This is a great fryer for small meals. It does a great job. It’s ideal for use in caravans, camper vans and people with small flats etc. It will cook small batches of food for 1 – 2 people. The price of this model and the 2 year warranty, it’s definitely a no brainer. Happy cooking folks.
